Welcome to Innovation Greater Manchester Driving a stronger, greener, and more inclusive innovation ecosystem
Innovation Greater Manchester (IGM) is a leading partnership of business, scientific, academic and local government leaders who want to work with Government to create a local-national innovation partnership which could lead to £3.8 billion of economic benefit and over 100,000 jobs across the city-region.
Greater Manchester’s burgeoning innovation ecosystem has taken another major step forward with the signing of an agreement with the UK’s national innovation agency, Innovate UK.
Government’s Levelling Up White Paper published earlier this year included a commitment to develop three Innovation Accelerators – one of which is to be centred on Greater Manchester. Businesses and research in these areas will be supported with a share of £100 million of new Government funding.
